Hey Everyone!

For everyone signed up for the Finding Retreat in Big Bear, CA, please read this post for important details about this weekend.

We’re planning to go up as a group on Saturday morning (2/16)- meeting at the church around 9:15am and leaving at 9:30 - using a combination of church vehicles and carpools. The church vehicles are actually SUVs, which can only hold about 10 people.  What that means is that we need some people to volunteer to drive.  I’m guessing that we will need 3 to 4 cars.  We will get to Big Bear around 12pm, eat lunch in town at Kujo’s Restaurant - PLEASE BRING MONEY - before checking into the house at 2pm.  If someone would be willing to organize the carpooling situation that would help us out a lot.

The place we’re staying at has space for 12 people in beds, but there are about 25 of us going.  Please bring a sleeping bag and ground pad and/or air mattress, as invariably some people will be sleeping on the floor.  It will be a little cozy with all of us in there - so keep that in mind - but there should be enough floor space and room for us to spread out.  Also, there is a hot tub, so remember to bring a swimsuit!

The schedule for the weekend will be pretty laid-back and easy-going. We will be spending a good amount of time with God, His word - our speaker is Eric Smith, Young Adults Pastor at Malibu Presbyterian - worshiping, and fellowshipping with others.

We will be returning in two groups, one church vehicle will be leaving on Monday (2/18) morning for those who don’t want to ski, and another vehicle will be leaving later in the day for those who do want ski.  It is recommended that you reserve your ski time online before you go.  It can get crowded and there are only a certain number of people they can let in the park.  Here is the link to check out the skiing. here
